2024 Precepting Workshop
Learn how to guide medical students to apply classroom knowledge in the clinical setting. No cost! Note: This program is being held during the Summer CME conference.
Saturday, August 24, 2024
1:00 - 3:00 pm
The field of medicine has a long history of incorporating the wisdom of experienced clinicians to provide essential hands-on education to our students. While we have all been recipients of this kind of apprenticeship, most of us have not been through supportive training that has provided structure and support to the work we do as preceptors.
This workshop will provide a framework for clinical student learning and highlight techniques that can help the preceptor incorporate students in their day. We will also have time to discuss specific situations that session participants may have encountered and wondered how to address.
