Project Submissions: 2025 Innovation & Research Forum

Submit your family medicine innovation or research project for presentation and feedback.

Submission categories:
  • Innovation in family medicine and original research
  • Community and participatory projects, descriptive studies, quality improvement initiatives
  • Clinical case studies and literature reviews with unique conclusions

Projects that address health equity, health care disparities and antiracism are encouraged.

All presenters must register for the Forum. Someone must be available to present the project (virtually or in person) on March 8, 2025. There is no charge for residents or students to register.

Who should submit?

Physicians, residents, medical students, researchers, psychologists and other innovators in family medicine who are studying, teaching and/or practicing in Minnesota.

Do the projects need to be complete?

Yes. On March 8, 2025, you should be ready to talk about the final data or outcomes of your project.

Present your project (virtually or in person) in one of two ways:

  • PowerPoint presentation – Each presenter has 20 minutes, including Q&A.
  • Poster – Posters can be presented live or online (on demand). Poster size can be up to 91″ wide x 45″ high. Do not mount your poster on foam board.

You will not be able to save your submission form to continue (or edit) later, so we recommend that you have the following information at hand before you begin to complete the form:

  • Information about the project contact / presenter
    • Name, email address and phone number
    • Role(s)/position(s) at school/residency program/clinic/other
  • How the project will be presented (PowerPoint or poster, live or online)
  • SHORT project title (approximately 150 characters, including spaces)
  • Answers to these questions:
    • What did you do and why was it important?
    • How did you do it?
    • What did you learn?
    • What’s next?
  • IRB approval status
  • HIPAA compliance status
  • Funding sources
  • Disclosures (ineligible company relationships and/or unlabeled or investigational uses of products/devices)

Project submissions will open in fall 2024.
