University of Minnesota Preceptors
Do you love your specialty and have a desire to teach medical students? The University of Minnesota Medical School is looking for new community preceptors for the upcoming academic year.

Every year, 180 medical students participate in the month-long Family Medicine Clerkship. The core of the rotation is 14 days in clinic (except every Wednesday for small group didactics on campus, the first Monday and final Friday) where students spend time actively involved in direct patient care. Student evaluations consistently rate the rotation highly for providing a significant degree of autonomy in a supervised atmosphere.

Such an endeavor is only possible because of a committed group of community family physicians who regularly take students. Would you consider joining us? To learn more about precepting and the benefits of becoming adjunct faculty at the University, please contact Peter Cao at
