Learn about power mapping and how you can use it for advocacy.

Have you ever wanted to create changes or move forward a policy or action on an issue? Developing a team, building relationships, considering power differentials and moving things forward takes attention, planning and an organizational strategy.

In this session, you will learn about power mapping—one community organizing strategy that leverages shared values, relationships and targeted messaging to influence movement on an issue. This technique can be used for legislative, local, system and organizational advocacy. (Session 7 of the Shape Your Path: Empowering New Physicians series.)

Open to all AAFP members. No cost to participate.

Registration deadline is March 31, 2026. The Zoom meeting link will be provided by email the day before the session.
