2026 KSA Session: Heart Disease

Deepen your understanding of heart disease and fulfill ABFM requirements in this interactive group learning experience facilitated by content experts.

Collaborate with colleagues to complete a Knowledge Self-Assessment (KSA) session on heart disease.

This interactive session is a great opportunity to deepen your understanding and fulfill ABFM requirements. Guided by experienced family physician facilitators, participants will work as a group to identify the best answers to 60 questions about heart disease.

Must be a physician or resident member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) to participate.

Pricing (administrative fee):

  • Physicians: $200*
  • Residents: complimentary

*Fees paid to the MAFP do not include the ABFM Continuous Certification fees.

Cancellation/Refund/No-Show Policy: Cancellations must be received by office@mafp.org in writing by January 23, 2026, to receive a refund of the registration fee. No refunds will be provided for no-shows or cancellations received after that date.

Himanshu Sharma, MD, is a fellowship-trained geriatrician and faculty at the Allina Health United Family Medicine Residency. He has a passion for teaching and house calls.

Lauren Carlson, MD

Lauren Carlson, MD, is a newly established faculty member of Allina Health United Family Medicine Residency Program. As a geriatric and family medicine board certified physician, she embraces caring for older adults and their caregivers across inpatient, skilled facility, home and clinic settings.

Ravi Balasubrahmanyan, MD

Ravi Balasubrahmanyan, MD, is a faculty member of Allina Health United Family Medicine Residency Program.

Parking: Ample no-cost parking is available in the visitor lot located on the east wall of the building. (Your license plate number will be required in advance to waive the two-hour parking limit.)

Application for CME credit will be filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. 8.00 Knowledge Self-Assessment, Live Prescribed Credits will be requested.

Application for CME credit has been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending.

A completed KSA provides 10 certification points and 8.00 Knowledge Self-Assessment, Live Prescribed AAFP credits toward ABFM certification requirements. The ABFM will report the 8.00 AAFP credits to the AAFP on the participants’ behalf following the session.

Activity #109377: The AAFP has reviewed 2026 KSA Session: Heart Disease and deemed it acceptable for up to 8.00 Knowledge Self-Assessment, Live AAFP Prescribed credit(s). Term of Approval is from 01/25/2026 to 01/25/2026. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
