St. Paul, MN — Senator Melisa Franzen and Representative Matt Dean received top honors from the MAFP for their successes in the legislature.
MAFP recognized Senator Melisa Franzen for her work on the Prior Authorization bill and Representative Matt Dean for his work on funding the rural family physician residency programs. Both are excellent examples of enhancing primary care and public health in Minnesota.
“All of these efforts are greatly appreciated by the family physicians in Minnesota and the patients we serve,” said MAFP President Dania Kamp, MD.
The Legislative Achievement Award is given by the MAFP to state or federal legislators from Minnesota in recognition of a specific action that has benefited patients or family medicine.
