Orlando, FL – On September 21, 2016, Lynne M. Lillie, MD, FAAFP, a former president of the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians and a family physician in Rochester, Minnesota, announced her candidacy for President-Elect of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) at the AAFP Congress of Delegates in Orlando, FL.
Lillie has been involved in the AAFP at the national and state level since 1992. At the time of her election to the board of directors in 2014, she was serving as a senior delegate to AAFP and was on the AAFP Commission of Quality and Practice. She has previously served on multiple AAFP committees and commissions, including the New Physician Delegation to the AAFP Congress of Delegates and as the resident member on the board of directors.
