Rochester Doctor Installed as President of the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians

(St. Louis Park)—The Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP) installed Kurt Angstman, M.D., as President of the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians on April 10, 2014, during its 68th Annual Meeting.

Dr. Angstman is a family physician at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  As president, he will serve as the official representative and spokesperson for the MAFP, be a member of the Board of Directors and will chair the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, in addition to promoting the ideals and concepts of family medicine.

The Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians is a professional association of approximately 3,000 family physicians, family medicine residents and medical students organized to assist family physicians in providing quality medical care in Minnesota. The MAFP is the largest medical specialty organization in Minnesota and is a state chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians, one of the largest national medical organizations in the United States with more than 103,000 members.
